Businessman Elon Musk, a member of Donald Trump’s team, commented on a post criticizing the CDU’s chancellor candidate Merz for his refusal to form a coalition with the right-wing party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD).
It’s worth noting that recently, like all other parties in Germany, the AfD nominated its own candidate for chancellor. In its program, the party called for Germany’s exit from the European Union, halting aid to Ukraine, ending the war, and expelling migrants.
Recall that early parliamentary elections in Germany are tentatively scheduled for February 23, 2025.
